Stuart is a coach and therapist focussed on mental strength and resilience in the workplace and supporting entrepreneurial people to build psychologically strong teams and companies.
Stuart has been trained as a mindfulness teacher, hypnotherapist and psychotherapist. He is a qualified mental health first aider and mixes coaching and counselling with workshop facilitation and advisory work.
Stuart started work as a programmer in a major research lab in 1980 before joining a British start-up software company which grew rapidly & globally. Stuart was instrumental in developing the USA, Eastern Europe and Japanese markets before a trade sale in 1994. He has formed several other software & web companies and joined a Nasdaq listed tech business in the late 1990s at management board level.
In 2000 he joined two charities and ran the E-Commerce Awards for the DTI. Stuart moved to tech investment joining a London based family office; an AIM listed property fund; and an FCA regulated fund manager.
Stuart has been a coach and mentor for over 30 accelerators in London, Oxford, Manchester, Edinburgh, Adelaide, Melbourne, Boston, Phoenix, New York and Washington. He has been NED for 30+ companies and has taught at 8 major UK universities on Entrepreneurship, IP commercialisation, Pitching & Presentation Skills, Sales and Entrepreneurial Mindset.
In his spare time Stuart runs a nano-brewery and goes to far too many gigs.
